From DC’s and ‘James Gunn’s PEACEMAKER’ SE01 E05 – Aside from all the FUI design and animation we created for this series, this intentionally awful powerpoint presentation gag was a joy to create. John Economos – played by Steve Agee put a lot of effort into creating this stunning powerpoint brief for his team, only to have John Cena’s Peacemaker, tear it apart.
The challenged was to create an intentionally bad, over the top, yet serviceable briefing presentation. We were inspired by early internet and primitive 3D graphics, clip art, and of course terrible powerpoint slides. Some of the stock photos were watermarked with our fictitious stock company name, Güdenuf. Seeing it come together and the actors riff on it was a fantastic payoff.
