The Kingdom of Dreams title sequence introduces the series’ visual theme and narrative support. Our challenge was to convey rich imagery and contrast. We chose a fashion atelier’s mannequin as the show’s iconic symbol, one side signifying opulence, the other decay, symbolizing the price of success. The sequence begins glamorously, using fine details and animations to depict the fashion world’s rise and fall.
Canela-Light, a typeface blending modern and classic design, was our choice. Even the typeface evolves during the sequence. Assets like the mannequin, sewing machine, perfume bottle, and handbag from the title sequence play a vital role in the episodes, setting the mood and serving as metaphors.
