Hallali is a projection installation centered around the orange as a symbol of obsession and desire.
It was created with live-action stop motion and then projected onto a handmade dome sculpture while studying in Lacoste, France.
The poem, music, and visuals were made by Evelyn Skyrm. The improvisational piano composition was recorded in a medieval French chapel (Lacoste, France).
The three-dimensional dome sculpture was made in collaboration with Eleanor Matthews, Carla Cummings, and Annalise Kristensen. Documentation of the piece was shown at SCAD’s annual Motion Design conference, CoMotion, in February 2024.
It was nominated by a jury of professors and ended up winning the Best Immersive Motion award, chosen by a jury of industry professionals attending the conference.
