DMAX is a Discovery owned men’s lifestyle television channel in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Our brief was to create a series of genre-based branding idents to link the programming to the channel positioning–Your Adventure is Here.
CONCEPT
Taking the two key target audience groups into consideration–Active Socializers and Working-Class Heroes – we devised a set of idents that represent these characters and link them to the topics/genres they are interested in as an integral part of their psyche. They are part of the adventure on the channel.
EXECUTION
We shot six characters with motion-controlled camera in studio. Then created a virtual world to represent relevant programming genres and mapped this as part of the characters mind or psyche.
RESULTS
Waterfall, ocean. Motorcars, nature, gold and industry are depicted in animation which allows the channel to build brand affinity with the programming and connection with their target audience.
