Challenged by The Garden to create an ad for the global launch of Rakuten Kobo’s new color eReader, AIM Creative Studios blended a minimalist aesthetic with a grainy texture reminiscent of paper or watercolor paintings, creating a tactile connection to books.
Drawing inspiration from the surrealism found in beautiful book designs, their goal was to evoke the boundless realms of imagination experienced while reading. The primary challenge laid in balancing the technical intricacies of the production pipeline with a very demanding schedule, all while upholding the uncompromising quality standards they had set for the project.
