Coffee & TV’s Design Studio and Sky Creative have launched a striking campaign for Lions Tour 2025, blending Indigenous Australian art with advanced VFX to celebrate cultural unity. Central to the campaign is Konstantina, an Indigenous artist from the Gadigal people, whose bold brushwork and dot painting shape the visual style.
The film follows a lion, guided by a pelican, traveling the Gadigal songline to Sydney. Using Maya and a custom Houdini workflow, the team created a living 3D painting of the lion, combining traditional storytelling with cutting-edge CG. Handcrafted textures from Konstantina’s art were composited in Nuke and graded in Baselight for a rich finish.
While AI assisted early concepts, the campaign’s execution relied on hands-on artistry and cultural consultation. Konstantina was moved seeing her work come alive. The campaign launches 20 June across broadcast, digital, social, and advertising, exclusively on Sky Sports.
