This film is the ultimate expression of speed. We set out to produce a soundtrack that stylistically and emotionally expressed speed in the most engaging way possible. Pushing the sound and sense of speed to its limit. Expressionistic, hyper detailed, contrasts, bold decisions, fast, visceral all showing of the beauty, emotion and dynamism of the car.
The challenge was to engage viewers, weaving emotion into the edit with sound, balancing calm, suspense, and powerful bursts. We integrated sounds of the driver—breaths, heartbeats, hands on the wheel, even sweat.
A major challenge was the electric car’s lack of a traditional engine sound, so we creatively used tire friction, air movement, and repurposed Tesla AVAS sounds with synths and abstracted jet reverbs to evoke energy, movement and friction, creatively replacing the roar of combustion engines.
This film was made before the current US President and advisor was in office.
