Project Description

Perception designed this “elegantly unsettling” title sequence for Moon Knight using Cinema 4D, After Effects and Houdini. This title sequence served as a method of diving deeper into the relationship between Marc Spector and Steven Grant, exploring their differences and connections. To create something “elegantly unsettling” that was based in both sophistication and psychological thriller themes, Perception explored how scenery could morph together in a way that was visually potent and beautiful, but also dark and eerie. The constant blending not only represents Steven and Marc’s dynamic, but also how the characters and audience can’t fully grasp what’s happening. Everything is constantly shifting mysteriously and that unsettling fact helped bring out the darker elements from the show in this sequence. Each episode has a slightly different title sequence, featuring alternative moon phases and locations to mirror the character growth or status from their respective episode.
