Barry Murphy

Dublin born artist working in the medium of Animation, Immersive and filmmaking. Graduated from IADT and Royal College of Art. With over 20 years of experience in media creation from Post Production, CGI and Documentary film-making; Barry draws on the history of animation, in particular documentary in animation and theatrical techniques alongside recently available technologies to innovate in visual design and storytelling.

Barry works as the Creative Director and Writer for the innovative, artist-led studio Anagram. He is an Emmy nominated multiple award winner including Best New Director at Cork Film Festival 2012, Grand Prix Golden Lion in Immersive at Venice 2021 for his co creation Goliath: Playing with Reality and Venice Lion for Immersive Film at Venice Film Festival 2024 for Impulse: Playing with Reality.
